Oil on card. This portrait of Antonia Dominguez Borrell (1831-1917) was probably a gift from the Duchess to Pedro Gutierrez Azcarate, who at that time was an official in the administration of the Real Patrimonio de San Ildefonso. Although traditionally attributed to the Madrazo circle, its romantic character places it closer to other painters, such as Antonio Gisbert (1834-1901), who portrayed the Duchess on other occasions.
