Oil on cardboard. Nicasio Zabalza Satrustegui (1828-1900) was a prominent Navarrese political figure of the 19th century, closely linked to Carlism and the regional administration. He was the son of Miguel Maria Zabalza de Muru-Astrain and Balbina Satrustegui de Ororbia. He married Jeronima Espinal, originally from Pamplona, ​​with whom he had nine children. Among his positions were city councilor of Pamplona, ​​regional deputy, and member of Parliament. Included as part of the lot are the original antique costume jewelry earrings worn by Sofia Jeronima in the portrait, made of brass, with a border of red glass and a center of enamel plaques painted with the effigy of a lady.
