Mezzotint on paper Signed and dated on plate: "Painted by J.Northcote Esq. RA/ Engraved by SW Reynolds// London Published by SW Reynolds 47 Poland St. March 1st 1808". Paper folded at the bottom to fit the frame size and stained. As indicated by the signatures, Reynolds made this print after a work by James Northcote (1746-1831) which does not appear to have survived. An engraving by the same artists of his son, George IV, with a similar composition but reversed, is held by the Royal Collection Trust (RCIN 605283). Dimensions: Paper: 92 x 66 cm; Print: 77 x 61.5 cm
