Pair of parade shields according to the model of Eliseus Li

Made of embossed silver, both bear apocryphal marks.They follow the same design, though with some variations, as the shield that was made in Antwerp for the coronation of Maximilian II and was taken as spoils in 1648 during the Swedish sacking of Prague. Today it is known as the “Skokloster Shield,” named after the castle where it is housed. They are mounted on metal bases. Weight: 3190 g. Dimensions: 70 x 43 cm, without base
