Engraving and etching on mother-of-pearl Japanese paper. The portrait of Picasso was created and engraved by Lemagny, signed and justified in pencil 2/32. Below, Picasso engraved a faun and a woman's profile, signed and dated in the plate 20 May 1956. These engravings were made for Jean Cocteau's book “Temoignage” in 1956; this is one of the few copies in which Picasso's remark appears. The edition is limited to 125 copies. engraving was done at Andre Moret Workshop. Reproduced in Cramer, Picasso, illustrated books no. 80 and Bloch no. 823. Dimensions: 56 x 38 cm.
