Born in Toledo, he trained with the painter Juan de Borgona, also receiving certain influences from Pedro Berruguete. His paintings, as can be seen in this beautiful panel depicting the “Birth of Christ”, reveal this in his meticulous and detailed draughtsmanship, his soft colouring and the delicacy of his figures.
