Dot engraving on copper plate Inscribed on the plate: "ALONSO CANO. / Distinguished Painter and Sculptor. He was born in / Granada in the year 1600, and died in the / same City in 1676" and signed "J. Maea drew it. / J. Bazquez engraved it". It was part of the twelfth notebook in the publication of the series "Portraits of Illustrious Spaniards".
