Oil on canvas Signed and dated "J Sorolla Bastida / 1900" in the lower left corner, to the left of the armchair; and "J. Sorolla y Bastida / 1900" in the upper right corner. Claudio was the only child of the "de Anitua-de Algorta" marriage, so upon Angelita's death, having outlived Alejandro by a few years, the work passed to her brother, Pascual de Algorta y Abaroa.
