HENRI FÉLIX EMMANUEL PHILIPPOTEAUX Paris, France (1815 / 1884) "Traditional regions of the world"

16 hand-colored engravings (intaglio prints). Representing characters with clothing belonging to traditional regions of the world. The copies must have been part of an unidentified travel book. Their execution was carried out by the engraver Pierre following the original designs made by Philippoteaux, between the years 1855 and 1859. They were published by Dufor, Mulat & Boulanger in the Laurent printing press in Paris. Although they are generally in good condition, some of them have stains, all of which have the main colored scene protected with tissue paper. Measurements: 25 x 16.2 cm. each
