MEXICAN SCHOOL (18th Century) "Saint Joseph and the Virgin"

Figures from a Nativity scene. Queretaro, Mexico, 18th century. Carved, polychromed, gilded, and brocaded wood. The figures display delicate execution in the faces and rich vegetal decoration on the drapery, characteristic of 18th-century New Spanish religious imagery from Queretaro. They retain their original polychromy. Some losses and minor restorations are visible. Measurements: 36 x 19 x 21 cm each
