Louise Brandt caliber clock, circa 1793, silver, plain silver case no. 1415, white porcelain dial with revolutionary enamel of flags and a portrait of the king in revolutionary dress, keyhole at 2 o'clock. Full-plate movement with signed caliber escapement. From 1790 to 1793, for political reasons, like other French clockmakers, Brandt was forced to sell inexpensive clocks to the people bearing revolutionary symbols. Weight: 98 g.
