Bellard, A Marseille caulking clock in a gilt and silver-plated metal case with striking mechanism (needs servicing). Caulking escapement movement, openwork gallus, signed mechanism. Back cover with applied tricolor gold cut-out cartouches on a fluted base and silver appliques with marcasites. White porcelain dial bordered with marcasites, with combined Arabic/Roman numerals with a keyhole at 2 o'clock (key not included) and silver hands with marcasites. Lug decorated with a round turquoise cabochon. French hallmarks c. Late 18th century. Weight: 89.9 g.
