ANGEL FERRANT Madrid (1890) / (1961) "Capote a tiempo" , 1939

Bronze Signed, dated, and titled at the top. "Capote a tiempo" is the sixth scene, according to the order of the bullfight, in the Tauromaquia series created by Ferrant in 1939 in terracotta. Of the nine he produced, two have been lost: "Suerte de varas" (The Lance Work) and "Muerte del toro" (Death of the Bull). Certain elements in Ferrant's Tauromaquia series are repeated in all the reliefs. The terracotta version of "Capote a tiempo" is held at the CAC-Museo Patio Herreriano, Valladolid.
