Copper engraving The saint, translator of the Vulgate, is absorbed in his work in a quiet and harmonious room, with the dog and lion dozing and sunlight reflecting off the frames, ceiling, and gourd, as well as the saint's attributes: crucifix, cardinal's hat, hourglass, and skull.
