The original version signed and dated 1647 by David Teniers the Younger (oil on canvas, 49.5 x 65.3 cm) is kept in the English Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace. The present work, with great quality, but painted in copper, must have been carried out by a prominent member of the Teniers workshop, since the works on this support were usually carried out by the workshop for export. A work attributed to Abraham Teniers, David's brother, is kept in the Prado Museum (oil on copper sheet, 49 x 68 cm), where elements similar to the present work appear, such as the flag and armor on the right side.
