How to buy

LIVE BIDDING

You will be able to bid during the auction through our web site previously registered.

ONLINE BIDDING IN ADVANCE

You can bid online in advance from our website, until 17pm on the day of the auction, previously registered.
You must indicate the maximum amount of the bid, which will be awarded at the lowest possible price, depending on the existing bids.

BIDDING IN PERSON

You will be given a paddle to bid on once you enter the sale. Lift the paddle when the lot you are interested in is auctioned.

TELEPHONE BIDDING

Request a telephone bid for the lot you are interested in through the website or by contacting Ansorena.
The starting price of this lot must be more than 300 €.
The request for a telephone bid implies covering the starting price of the lot. If the telephone communication is not successful and there are no more bids for the lot, it will be awarded to you.

Post Auction Sale

To know the result of your bid, you can call us at (+34) 91 532 85 15 the day after the auction is held.

If your bid is successful, you'll receive the following information via e-mail after the sale:

  • A proforma invoice (the hammer price plus the buyer's premium as well as any applicable taxes)
  • Details on how to pay
  • Shipping information

If you were successful in either an online-only sale or a live sale, your purchase information will be available to view in your online account, where you can view invoices and pay with a credit card (except AMEX)

Payment must be done within one week. The total amount is the hammer price plus buyer’s premium (22% including VAT).

The lots can be picked up in our room at Alcalá 52 (for heavy or bulky objects and pieces, please consult us) from the day after the auction is held. In case the client would like the lots to be sent, could arrange their own transporters, or Ansorena can managethe shipment through a transport company.

Ansorena collaborates with companies specialized in the transport of works of art to which clients can request the transport of the lots once payment has been made in full:

Please note, all the lots of more than 100 years old will need an export license for the Spanish customs. You can ask for them to these companies.

Objects purchased at auction that remain longer than the time stipulated in our general conditions will be subject to a storage charge.


VALUATIONS

It is necessary to make an appraisal of the object to be auctioned, for which you have at your disposal our team of experts who will advise you on the optimum price for your sale.

SELL CONDITIONS

Once the starting price has been agreed upon, you are informed of the conditions of the sale (commission, catalog costs, and insurance). Once you agree, the Seller’s Agreement is signed, which stipulates the agreed clauses.

SELLING CONDITIONS

CATALOG

All auction pieces will be included in a catalog with the number and date of the auction. The day after the auction, you will be able to consult the results.

The invoice of the auction sale will be carried out thirty days after the date of the auction, provided that the lot has been paid by the buyer.

Valuations

Ansorena offers a free valuation and expert appraisal service without obligation for art objects and jewelry at its offices in Alcalá 52. You can also request a complete valuation by making an appointment or sending detailed images of the objects to be valued by filling out our form
